Contractor Slider Windows

Slider windows are used in applications, for aesthetic reasons, where the width of the opening is greater than its height. Vinylume supplies it's slider windows with rollers under the moving sash(es) to make them move easily for your customers. We also provide, at slight extra cost, a Tilt N Slide variant of our slider in the Series 1000 model; the Series 3000 and 4000 Sliders are built standard as a Tilt N Slide window. The Series 2000 is not supplied as a Tilt N Slide.

What is a Tilt N Slide window? It is a slider who's sashes not only slide back and forth for ventilation, but they also are hinged to swing in for washing or greater ventilation. Remember, this feature is an option on the Series 1000, but is standard on the Series 3000 and 4000 windows. This option is NOT offered on the Series 2000 slider.

TWO LIGHT SLIDERS : Series 1000, both sashes slide and can be easily lifted out for cleaning. Colors & finishes available: Standard White; optional at extra cost is Beige, Brown, Cream White and Sand Tone. Finishes include Light Oak on White; Light Oak on Beige and Dark Oak on White. When this window series is equipped with Low--E glass and argon gas, it becomes an Energy Star qualified window. Explain the advantages of buying an Energy Star qualified window in these energy expensive times to your customer. You'll be doing them a good turn.

Series 2000 comes with an extruded nailing fin on the welded frame. Only one (1) mechanically fastened sash will slide and can be lifted out for washing. Colors available: Standard White; at slight extra cost, Beige and Brown are also available.

Series 3000 is our welded sash and welded frame slider window. This series of slider is provided as a Tilt N Slide, where both sashes slide for ventilation and can also be swung inward for additional ventilation, along with easy cleaning. Colors available are: Standard White; at slight extra cost, Beige and Brown.

Series 4000 is similar to the Series 3000, being a welded frame and welded sash slider. It too, is provided as a Tilt N Slide window; however, the welded frame has an integral nailing fin on it for new construction usage.

  • Series 1000; Series 3000 & Series 4000: Glass units are 7/8" over-all. Low-E and argon gas glazing combination available on all three series. When the Series 1000 uses Low-E and argon, it is an Energy Star qualified window.
  • Series 2000: 5/8" over-all glass units are used. The Low-E and argon gas glazing option is available for extra insulating value.
  • THREE LIGHT SLIDERS: Series 1000: Like the Two Light Slider, this slider has a mechanically fastened frame, but it also has three (3) mechanically fastened sashes.
  • Two configurations available: Proportional (1/4-1/2-1/4), where the two end sliding sashes are half the size of the center sash. The center sash is in the outside track of the frame. Equalite: (1/3-1/3-1/3), where the center sash is in the inside track of the frame and the two end sashes are in the outside track.
  • In either of the two above configurations, your customer has a choice of either the standard sliding windows. Each sash is supported by a roller assembly, except in the case of the Tilt N Slide versions.
  • The colors and finishes of the Two Light Slider are the same for the Three Light Slider. (See above information).

Series 2000: This series features a welded frame (with integrally welded nailing fin) and mechanically fastened sash. It is available in two (2) configurations: Either as the Proportional (1/4-1/2-1/4) or Equalite (1/3-1/3-1/3). In either configuration, the two (2) end sashes slide, but the center sash is stationary.

  • The colors of this series Two Light Slider are the same for the Series 2000 Three Light Slider. (See color information for Series 2000 Two Light Slider, above).
  • Series 3000: This series, like it's 2 light slider affiliated window, also has a welded frame and welded sashes. It is available as either a Proportional (1/4-1/2-1/4) or Equalite (1/3-1/3-1/3) window. In the Proportional slider, the center sash is in the outside track of the frame, while the end sashes (each of which is 1/2 the size of the middle sash) are in the inside track. For the Equalite slider, the middle sash is in the inside track of the frame and the side sashes are in the outside track of the frame.
  • The colors of this series of Two Light Sliders is the same for the Series 3000 Three Light Slider. (See color information for Series 3000 Two Light Slider, above).
  • Series 4000: This is our new construction welded frame and welded sash Three (3) Section Slider. It is the same as the Series 3000 Three Section Slider, except that it has an integrally extruded nailing fin and J channel as part of the frame. This series also offers both the Proportional (1/4-1/2-1/4) and the Equalite (1/3-1/3-1/3) configuration.
  • The colors of this series of Two Light Sliders is the same for the Series 4000 Three Light Slider. (See color information for the Series 4000 Two Light Slider, above).
