Contractor Picture Window

Picture windows are non-venting (non-opening) windows. Because they are non-venting, picture windows are more thermally efficient than either vertical sliders (Double Hung Tilts) or horizontal sliders ("sliding" windows). Because of their being thermally efficient, picture windows are ideal for filling larger openings in walls, particularly where the need to ventilate the room is unimportant. Picture windows are basically a frame with a glazed sash inserted in it. Their thermal efficiency and their simplicity make them a great choice for breaking up a large expanse of wall. They admit good light into a room and give the customer a nice view of the scenery immediately outside that room. To create an effect or accentuate a room, the picture window can be provided as a center unit mulled to two (2) flanking, venting windows (such as single-hungs, double-hungs or casements.
